Beckett Berning

Beckett R. Berning was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1963. She earned a Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Post-Baccalaureate teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. For the past five years she has been teaching art in public schools. Ms. Berning has exhibited her work in Wisconsin, Michigan and Oregon. ARTIST'S STATEMENT My print series was done while I was studying in Florence, Italy. Although the Italian landscape was a rich influence, each print was also an attempt to create a serene place. I am very interested in using color and value as a way to deafen the cacophony of living.
