Chuck "Garbo" Hajinian

(b. 1954, Milwaukee, WI) Education: DDS from Marquette University Chuck is a practicing dentist who began his painting career after experiencing a Claude Monet exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1990. He is self-taught and, besides the Impressionist masters, counts as his influence the Armenian artists Arshile Gorky, Martiros Sarian, Edgar Chahine, and Carzou among others. Over the last 10 years Chuck “Garbo” Hajinian has established himself as a nationally known professional artist, selling paintings from New York to California for prices up to $18,000. His paintings can be viewed at the David Barnett Gallery.
