Jean Stamsta

Jean Stamsta creates imaginative landscapes and still-lifes in her wildly colorful and playful paintings. In these fantasies we escape to tropical climates complete with erupting volcanoes and neon palm trees. Mythical creatures and wriggling lizards float amidst brilliant flurries of stripes, polka dots and collage elements. The artist often combines fabric, paint, mirrors and glitter to create her explosive works. With her beginings as a fiber artist, she has exhibited nationally and internationally in London, Switzerland, Hungary and Finland.
