David Barnett has been a member of the Appraisal Association of America since 1975. He is certified according to Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) which is the highest level of certification.

David Barnett has vast experience in the appraisal industry. He is considered the world expert on a number of significant artists, including Claude Weisbuch, Milton Avery, Carol Summers, Schomer Lichtner, Hannah de Rothschild, and Wolf Khan. Previous clients include the Federal Bureau of Investigation, The Milwaukee Museum of Art, Swann Auction Galleries, and Christie’s Auction House.

David Barnett has experience appraising a wide variety of media, including textiles, silver, ivory, ceramics, art glass, stained glass, woodcuts, etchings, drawings, watercolors, acrylics, oils, encaustics, teapots, ceremonial objects, American Historical prints, vintage posters, and photography.

If you would like a remote appraisal, we require clear, high-resolution images. We also ask that you share any and all information you have on the piece: artist, title, date, medium, dimensions (framed and unframed if applicable), condition, signature location, and provenance.
