In ‘Beaver Lake Sunrise, 9-6-2016,’ David Barnett captures a rare moment of natural framing in the landscape of Beaver Lake, WI. Between a clearing in the forest, Barnett has photographed the sun as it rises over Beaver Lake, illuminating the water and the sky in warm saturated colors reminiscent of the Hudson River School. The darkness of the trees provides a contrast to the sun's brightness, creating a natural frame through which the viewer observes the interplay between the sun and the lake. This photograph is also a companion piece to the earlier ‘Beaver Lake Sunrise, Aug. 2016.’
