‘Homage to Chagall - Near St. Jeannet’ is an original mixed media artwork, signed and dated by the artist in the lower right. Part of Barnett’s ‘Famous Artist Series,’ the composition is dedicated to Russian-French Expressionist Marc Chagall. Reproducing Chagall’s 1972 lithograph ‘Devant St. Jeannet,’ Barnett adorns the composition with added colors, staging a collaboration that transcends time and space and interrogates the complexities of artistic influence.
