‘First Signs of Autumn On Beaver Lake,’ is an artist’s proof giclée print on watercolor paper, signed by the artist in the lower right corner. Depicting the scenic environs outside his home in Beaver Lake, WI, Barnett uses the softness of watercolor to subtly demarcate changes in the landscape; from the deep reds of the fallen leaves emerge the blues and greens of the lake and surrounding hills, before finally giving way to the delicate purple of the autumnal sky.
