In this artwork, Milwaukee-based artist Joan Dvorsky presents the viewer with a grand bird's eye view of a river. This is quite different from other pieces by Dvorsky of this size, as they tend to be more intimate, close-up views. However, the simple beauty of this composition does nothing to intimidate the viewer but instead evokes a peaceful feeling of what it must feel like to fly high above a grand waterway. The artwork incorporates a digital print of an earlier acrylic painting with hand-applied watercolor additions and is signed by Dvorsky in the lower right.
