'Together' is an original opal serpentine sculpture by the Zimbabwean artist by Noel Mwanza. The sculpture presents a moment of motherly devotion, with a woman's tall figure embracing her child. Their faces are calm and content, with downcast eyes and full lips. In capturing these figures, Mwanza plays with the texture and finish of the stone, using a fine polish to describe the softness of skin alongside natural and rough textures to reveal the sculptural process and materiality of the opal.
